its getting more of a clandestine operation to make a living out here. collaboration across team meetings seem to lose drive. pieces fall. while some people who work from home are still having a good time they will have to get back in the office at some point.
there are numerous reasons work from home and the private time is being taken back by managers is simply labor is simply too expensive. the structure of corporations are smart enough to know that they will get back to work but only if the pain is felt enough by the general population.
especially on a place like substack the dream is to pay rent while working in the home you rent. in some city with a cute cafe downstairs. as time goes on these economics simply won’t make sense. massive white collar lay offs from all sectors with fresh new hires for in office jobs.
i see subscriptions offered here im not sure what they offer other then sellling the idea that one day you wont have to work either. yet making money is more clandestine and you should always aim higher. if someone is trying to sell you something that pays the rent they are 100 making more money then simply their “rent” it would be as silly as paying your employee the same money as you.
i have been reading and writing so much just so i simply do not consume YOUR. content
think about the old books you read that are pre AI and the writing you make as sort of a solidification, a fortification, of your inner monologue. this is early in this vast new age here. between people selling, and selling using tools so they can sell product more inefficiently while they get back to whatever it is that they do to consume time. whatever all they try and stack the money for. whatever that is.
i said to someone recently i think i mentioned here that there are models of AI not known the the general population that have to be being used behind closed doors. no one simply seems to think about that when NVDA 0.00%↑ PLTR 0.00%↑ AVGO 0.00%↑ prices seem to be hitting all new time highs but my supscicion is that we have not even seen what is to come yet.
or maybe we wont see what is to come which is the scary part right. whole fields of jobs replaced while everyone whines they cant do anything except for very dangerous mining jobs or construction (remember the whole labor is too expensive they need to squeeze labor)
but the face of the internet really is changing and everyone thinks they are smart. they are so smart and will outsmart their audience.
this is why i will not read your content
