love for the game
the game loves me
alfred tells bruce about a mission he had in burma. they were trying to work with local tribes, but there was this bandit who kept raiding supply convoys. he wasn’t taking the valuables to sell them, either — he was just dumping them in the jungle.
alfred says he once saw a little kid playing with a ruby the size of a tangerine, completely unaware it was priceless. the thief didn’t care about money or leverage. he stole because it amused him. because he wanted to.
then alfred tells bruce:
some men aren’t after anything you can bargain with or understand. you can’t reason with them.
some men just want to watch the world burn.
yet what they actually miss is the true point. some niggas just love the game. this is how you gotta go into the year of the horse this is a game. this isnt about evil its about dealing with your cards right and you can only go to massive piles of money through letting go seeing past the value normies hold to their hearts
