finishing a book in 2025

what reading between daily task is like

remember this sensitive old man doesnt really write for the purpose other then to keep the Alzheimer’s away - this is underated in just a living aspect - you know over thinking writing is really really common on this platform. in my obeservations substack is some cool kids club. a lot of it is i think those who couldnt really make it on other platforms - or those who say make it on other platforms would they even come to substack in the first place -

now - this isnt technically the first book i finished this year. i actually have read several maybe ten books on my phone - but i was inspired i dont know why maybe it was this college girl that brought it up or i was thinking about my daughter but i was like. you def should go to the library and get some real ass books

i did get some real books well after reading BERZERK and some other hot manga titles. such a pleasure to rent books out like that because there is no way im buying a $50 manga book. and it isnt really all that interesting - so why buy it

phones and consumption. my daughter said to me - “its nice your not on your phone all the time” also she said “ i noticed you didnt drink at the halloween party. these moments were really beautiful because time does slip through our hands it is hard to really stay in the momemnt - everyone is on their phones - while reading on the phone is really fun - it looks goofy -

so i have been lugging around 500 page book called cult X - pretty fascinating story and at times truly exciting. clandestine operations and questioning about god and eastern religions just over all really fascinating.

i want to read more about the paranormal or cults and always have abook on me.

so today i will be going to the libary/book store. what a nice little hobby for this sensitive old man. substack is really big into like commodifying the experience like i have subscribed to so many people who have dog shit writing and you want my $8 a month are you serious? i literally write more then you

yes anyways commodification - no i dont see this little blog i have as a way to become an author - its just a beautful way more beautiful way to spend my time then like the literal scrolling hell that is out there - it is that is what it is so i see why people get so down in the dumps about things

people are down in the dumps - lots of disapointment out there but i remember one of the last rambles in cult x was about pretty much comparison in the thief of joy this is not what you are supposed to be worried about but about a journey of the self there is no comparison ect ect.
